Contemporary Cupping Methods takes Cupping Therapy to a whole new level.

Our Graduates are using the methods they've aquired in CCM in Hospitals, Post Surgical Facilities, Burn Centers, Medical Clinics, Rejuvenation Centers, Wellness Resorts, Retirement Communities, Cruise Ships, Private Practices and more.

The Educators who teach this workshop have been hired by high end establishments like the Mandarin Spas and the Phoenician, Hospitals, Advanced Holistic Institutes, Massage Schools, CAM Universities, privately owned clinics and spas all over the world to teach these methods to staff.

The Contemporary Cupping Methods curriculum is extraordinarily comprehensive in content and will teach the Healthcare Practitioner a variety of techniques, in a myriad of applications - individually and with multiple cups to address various locations and issues. More than 50% of the workshop is spent in hands-on lab exchange where each pracitioner provides and receives the treatment under the close supervision of the Instructors and TA's.

As therapists, we've all wished we had more than one set of hands to get more work done in less time and with less strain – with Cupping, you will and we will show you how.

You'll walk away from these 3 intensive days with the skills that will broaden your practice in ways that will amaze you and you'll feel fully prepared to do it.

Methods You Will Learn:

Dynamic Cupping Massage Cupping Stationary Cupping
Biomagnetic Cupping Intermittent Cupping Flash Cupping
Aquatic Cupping Facial Cupping Belly Cupping
Cellulite Treatment Sports Applications Orthopedic Treatments

Health Professionals are rediscovering this ancient, amazingly effective therapy and using it to treat their clients and achieve effects that are cumulative, long lasting, and many therapists report their results as being "miraculous".

Cupping is an incredible modality that among many other benefits - increases circulation, relaxes soft tissue and support, draws stagnation, pathogenic factors and toxins out of the body and releases a myriad of pain causing factors. Myofascia Release, Lymphatic Drainage and Detoxification are only 3 of the therapeutic outcomes produced during a Cupping Treatment.

Another valuable asset regarding Cupping is that it feels great. The pulling action engages the parasympathetic nervous system, thus allowing a deep relaxation to move through the entire body. It is not unusual to fall asleep when receiving this treatment. Clients are surprised at how relaxed, warm and light they feel – hours... sometimes even days afterwards.

The added bonus is the reduced wear and tear to the practitioner. The physical repetitive activity is tough on the Professional Bodyworker - tools used in Cupping greatly increase the practitioners’ comfort and physical longevity - thus extending the longevity of the therapists' career exponentially. This fact alone merits attention from every Bodyworker.

“Five years ago, I suffered a serious soft tissue injury to the anterior and middle deltoids, and decided on acupuncture in the initial stages because of the extreme inflammation, followed by massage therapy on weekly basis for twelve months. While my shoulder made great improvement, I was still aware of discomfort and immobility. Also, as is often the case, the ramifications for the surrounding broad region of soft tissue were profound. There remained blockages and tightness throughout the pectoral muscle, latissimus dorsi and intercostal region, as well as tightness, trigger points and deep-seated pain throughout the arm of the affected side. Using new Cupping Methods developed for the Contemporary Cupping workshop - made possible by the rubber cups - after four treatments, these symptoms which hung on so tenaciously, have all been thoroughly released. I now have complete movement with all pain syndromes resolved. I think this is a notable development in the contemporary era of cupping therapy and I am really excited about the benefits that this treatment will bring to many clients. Furthermore, I have been treating many people with long term soft tissue pain with these new cupping adaptations and the results have been rapid and excellent.”

– Bruce Bentley from Health Traditions

(Bruce teaches a version of CCM in Australia called Remedial Cupping)

In the Contemporary Cupping Methods Workshop,
  • Each day consists of audio/visual presentations, lecture, Q&A, demo, then hands-on application of the treatments demonstrated during student exchange - each student will perform the treatments and receive.
  • Students will receive a comprehensive workbook with various charts and forms.
  • 7 different cupping sets are used in lab – EarthSpa FireCups, Kanghzu Biomagnetic Cups, EarthSpa Bells, Baguanfa Rubber and Silicone Cups, the Decade Edition Haciwuxing MASC Set and the Belletazze Facial Cups.
  • On the last day students do a class self-assessment exercise to revisit prime information, purchase their equipment and then receive workshop certification.
  • Post workshop - Once you have completed the training and are a CCT, you are automaticaqlly a member of the International Cupping Therapy Association. ICTA Members have access to valuable documents, graphics, marketing materials studies, reports, training opportunities and support.
  • Graduates of Contemporary Cupping Methods can retake the class at no cost. (space is limited per class)

"One of the most important aspects of taking this Cupping Workshop in comparison to ANY other
Cupping Class I found was that I got to retake it for FREE!! This is an incredible BONUS!!"
~ Sandra Bartlett LAc., LMT

"This workshop far exceeds the standards for which other classes meet. I cannot express my excitment and thrill at the potantials that have opened up for my practice, truly a blessing - THANK YOU more than I can say!!"
~ Abigail Truman LAc, DC, OT

NEW in the Contemporary Cupping Methods workshops...

EarthSpa Hand Blown FireCups

These cups are EarthSpa R&D's newest addition to their line of Cupping equipment. Each cup is individually handblown by their glass artist.

These are stunning... and functional... they are designed to significantly improve the operator usuability and comfort. And of course, special attention was placed on the inside lip of the cup to provide for an even smoother and more luxurious glide.

These FireCups are available at the
Contemporary Cupping Methods workshops.
